Technology that keeps patients safe
All vehicles are equipped with a GPS navigation system and are satellite tracked, linking in to our booking and control system. This allows an up-to-the-moment view of resources, and a complete trace of an individual vehicle’s route, speed, where the vehicle has stopped and whether the ignition has been turned off at any point.
In addition, all ambulances and wheelchair vans are equipped with Drive-Cam technology and backup cameras, which greatly enhance the safety of our patients and crews. Cameras mounted on the windshield constantly record video inward and outward from the cab and save footage in the event the vehicle makes a sudden stop or turn or comes in contact with another object.
Highly trained, State-certified crews
Our vehicles are staffed by highly trained State-certified EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians) and MAVTs (Mobility Assistance Vehicle Technicians). All employees undergo:
- Criminal background checks
- Drug testing
- Defensive driving
- Continuous education
